In the name of God
On November 27th and 28th I have gone with my classmates to a journey which has been performed by our university. Our destination was Kheyrood kenar forest, Nowshahr, which is located in west of Mazandaran province, north of Iran. This journey was a scientific one and during it our silviculture professor , Kh. Sagheb talebi was with us. The mentioned forest is training forest of Tehran university. There is a typical Hyrcanian forest which varies in height from about 0 to over 1500 meter above see level. It has several kind of Hyrcanian tree species like Quercus castanifolia, Fagus orientalis, Carpinus betulus, Parrotia persica and Acer insigne. In this season (autumn), Parrotia trees are orange, red and yellow in leaf color, therefore the forest is very beautiful and dreamy. We were there for 2 days. At night we went to Nowshahr Ecological Garden where is a wonderful place for natural resources students, because they can find and watch many attractive plant species from all over the world, for lunch we stopped in a pretty place near a fountain and ate chicken kebab (an Iranian traditional food). We prayed In noon and backed in afternoon, thank God, that was a good trip.
